ROBERT, WALLACE L
[br][br]Robert (Bob) Leon Wallace was born December 4, 1928, in Spokane, to DeWitt and Olive (Richardson) Wallace. He graduated from Lewis & Clark High School.
Bob attended Washington State College, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, studying forestry. After college, he joined the Forest Service as a fire lookout in Arizona. Drafted into the Army during the Korean Conflict, Bob completed training in the Armored School. After the completion of his military service, Bob traded driving tanks for driving tractors and moved to Rosalia, where he and his father had purchased a farm in 1951. He married Margaret June Tupling on September 24, 1955.
Interested in modern farming techniques, Bob served as superintendant of the Pine Creek Soil and Water Conservation District and was named the Conservation Farmer of the Year three consecutive years.
Bob was a lifetime member of the Malden Lodge, F. & A.M. He served as Master, District Deputy, and on two committees for Grand Lodge. He was also a member of the Shrine and served many terms as "Daddy Advisor" for the Rainbow Girls in Rosalia. Bob was also active in the American Legion and served for several years on the Whitman County Library Board.
Bob is survived by his wife, June, and daughters Barbara and Karen. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Wallace, and sisters, Eleanor Wiley and Shirley Allen.
At his request, no services will be conducted, although a private family memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosalia Ambulance Fund.

MCWHORTER, DAN A
[br][br]Dan Arthur McWhorter, 73, passed away at his home in Spokane Valley, WA on June 10, 2014. Dan is survived by Sunny, his wife of 18 years, his three children, James McWhorter, Carol Hall, and Heather McWhorter; step children Matt Teterud, Tim Teterud, Sarah Glover, and 15 grandchildren. Dan was born in Fort Riley, Kansas to Dan and Mildred McWhorter. He was the oldest of four children with surviving siblings Robert (Nancy) McWhorter, Caroline (Aldie) Christesen and Millie (Pat) Sears.
Dan graduated from the University of Montana and Stanford University. He practiced as a physical therapist at the Columbus Hospital in Great Falls, MT for almost 30 years. After moving to Spokane, Dan worked at St. Luke's Rahabilitation Institute until retiring in 2011.
Dan is now with the Savior he loved throughout his life. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 19th, 10:30 a.m. at Valley Bible Church in Spokane Valley, WA.

Beloved Son, Brother, Grandson, Fiancé and Friend was Killed in Action on June 8, 2014 while proudly protecting his Country in Afghanistan.
Justin graduated from Sprague High School in 2010. Through high school Justin was a quiet leader, athlete and loved by all who knew him. He enlisted in the United States Army on February 14, 2012.
While stationed in Fort Carson, Justin met his fiancée and they planned to wed in May 2015.
Justin touched the hearts of everyone he met. Words aren't enough to describe him…

ASBURY, TOM
[br][br]Tom Asbury was born in Spokane WA in 1943. He graduated from West Valley High School, and obtained a degree in Theology from Bob Jones University, and was serving as the Pastor of Spokane Baptist Church. He loved to ride horses, watch basketball and wrestling, and work on his ranch.Tom went home to be with his Saviour on Thursday June 12th. He was on his way to pray on Mt. Spokane when God called him up higher to talk face to face. He was preceded in death by two infant daughters and his father Bob and step father George Cook. He is survived by his mother Marguerite Cook, his brother Bob Asbury (Barb). Also by his wife Jan, her two sons Keith and Jared Nichols, her two daughters Misty Mason (Greg), and Heather Tucker (Josh) and 4 grandchilden. He is also survived by his son Reg Asbury, his daughters Dara Asbury (Dan), Tamara DeFrance, Sara Townsend, Elizabeth Bakke (Eric), Deborah Lampley (Jon), Angela Asbury, Christina Englehardt (Aaron) and 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Tom was a passionate follower of Christ, an avid soul-winner, and helped to plant churches in New York, Idaho, and Washington. He was dearly loved by his church family, all those whom he introduced to Christ and baptized, and by his wife and family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 21st at 1pm at Spokane Baptist Church, 12817 E Broadway Ave, Spokane.

[br][br]Scott Allen Pedigo, 48, went to heaven June 11, 2014 & is now at peace with his mother. He was born January 31, 1966, in Lewiston ID, to Terry and Elda Rae Pedigo (Wilson). At age 6 the family moved to Ritzville WA where, having many friends and loving the small town life, he called home the rest of his life.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fishing. For the last 20 plus years, until 2013, Scott was a long haul truck driver owning his own trucks and trailer most of that time. He was a person of great character, was very sociable, personable, and kind hearted with a great sense of humor.
Left to miss him terribly are his father and step-mother Terry and Marilu Pedigo, half-brother Brent Pedigo all from Texas; half-sister Sara (Wilson) & family; aunt Jacqueline Wheeling, uncle Henry Patchett, & numerous cousins.
Preceded in death by his mother; grandparents Leonard & Zella Wilson, Rose Patchett, Ken Pedigo; uncle Bill Wheeling; cousins Dave & Sam Wheeling.

The McLuen Family thanks with far more than these words the staff, administrators, nurses and residents of Emilie Court for their constant and varied expressions of love to our beloved mother, Bette McLuen, as she lived for over a year-and-a-half, declined and finally passed away at their outstanding assisted living residence. What a wonderful environment in which she spent her final living days.
We also want to thank Gentiva Health Care and Hospice for the caring, compassionate time each visitor gave her.
For her final two days, we also thank deeply Family Home Care for their 24-hour/day loving and competent attending to her every need. We especially are grateful to the two caregivers who offered to fill in the schedule to make sure someone would be with her, as my wife and I were, until her death.
