FINNERTY, CONOR J
[br][br]Conor John Finnerty of Spokane, and most recently Seattle, Washington, ascended to Heaven August 7th, 2014 after a fatal car crash.
Conor was born in Spokane on July 19th, 1983. Raised by Sandra M. Hoye and the late Terry Finnerty, Conor graduated from Ferris High School in 2001. He was in a loving relationship with Molly McEvoy and engaged to be married. He leaves behind two beautiful children, Cadyn (11) and McKenna (1) Finnerty.
Conor was a dedicated and hard-working man. He recently achieved one of his aspirations in becoming an apprentice lineman. We will remember Conor as being a natural athlete and someone who created long-lasting memories and genuine friendships during his short time here with us. He was kind, funny, caring, open-minded, honest, and genuine... he truly had it all. He had a way of making every interaction personal and sincere, and could make a special bond with you within five minutes. His list of friends is endless and timeless; but Conor was a unique and special individual, in which only the lucky ones are graced with once in a lifetime. He listened, he cared, and he would sacrifice anything to help make your life more enjoyable. Conor didn't know it, and didn't try, but he always owned the room. Everyone wanted to be around him and his contagious laugh
But what he was best at and what he will be most admired for, was his unwavering dedication to being a great father and family man. He loved his children as much, if not more than anyone. His smile got bigger, and his heart became fuller when he talked about his kiddos. He is very proud of the young man Cadyn is becoming, and his sweet McKenna made his heart so full of love.
Conor is survived by his mother Sandra M. Hoye; step father Andrew Hoye; fiancé Molly McEvoy; his two brothers Mike and Kevin Finnerty; dozens of uncles, aunts, and cousins; in laws Mary, Tom, & Chris; his IBEW brothers; and the Mossie Crew.
Conor was loved by so many, and has touched so many lives; we have had the honor to see him grow into a wonderful son, man, father, brother, and friend. His passing is a stark reminder of how precious life is - tell someone you love them today.
A wake will is being held, at Riverside Place formerly Masonic Center, 1108 W Riverside Ave Saturday, September 13th in the 2nd Floor Ballroom at 4:00pm.

[br][br]Margaret Helene "Peggy" Pirie (age 68)
Peggy was born in Detroit Michigan on March 27, 1946 to Donald and Margaret Pirie. She moved to Spokane at age 4 with her family and lived here the remainder of her life. Peggy succumbed to complications of cancer and went home to be with the Lord on August 16th, 2014. She had three brothers Jim, Donald, and David Pirie who, along with her parents proceeded her in death. Peggy is survived by her step- mom Huldah Pirie of Spokane WA. Peggy worked in social work and geriatric care, both of which she was well suited due to her kind and compassionate spirit. She was a beautiful, sophisticated, passionate woman and she touched many lives through her work and her love. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Daughter Michelle Link/Mark Hill of Spokane, WA; Daughter Misty/Keith Lee of Portland, OR; Daughter Jill Story/Kelly Haupt of Seattle, WA; and Son David Burns of Spokane, WA. Four grandchildren; Jerry Hill, Amanda Lee, Courtney Lee, and Rebecca Lee and great-grandson Jerimyah Sanders-Hill. Peggy was much loved and daily demonstrated the unconditional love of Christ. Psalm 139:1-18.
There will be no service, however a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to Horizon Hospice care of Spokane.

DOUGLAS G BARR 8-7-2014
Doug was born to Ray & Naom Barr and Palouse, Washington . Doug was a precocious child once taking apart the family's heirloom clock when he was 5 just to see how it worked. His parents had a hard time keeping Doug in the family's yard and at times he could be found down by the river or at the train station talking to workers.
Doug worked for Bagot Motors in Palouse while in high school and drove truck and combines for the local farmers. Doug came to Spokane when he was 17 and went to school to be an aircraft mechanic at SCC and then went on to work at Boeing in Seattle. Doug was in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and had a total of 6 college degrees two of them from Eastern Washington University one in mechanical engineering and one in industrial technology design.
Doug loved fast cars and drag racing and was a member of the Mopar Performance Team and worked as the starter at Spokane Raceway Park for many years. Doug built and owned his own drag racer; fire suit, parachute and all.
Doug worked for the City of Spokane, first as a seasonal temp at the waste to energy plant and then at City Hall before being hired on permanently taking the job that his wife Paula's father vacated upon his retirement.
Doug was always busy with one hobby or the other starting with his first computer a Commodore 64, remote controlled airplanes & cars, HO scale trains and guns, many of them he carved and built himself and he also loaded all his own bullets. Doug shot nearly every week at Spokane Riffle Club and also shot black powder rifles and likec to go to rendezvous and dress as a mountain man.
Doug was friendly and had a fun sense of humor and would always help ANY coworker, friend or neighbor any time of the day or night if they were in need. Doug was truly a jack of all trades and could do any type of mechanical or build project that needed to be done.
Doug re-modeled a vintage RV and with his wife Paula, his mother-in-law Mary and their dogs would load up and go out and see the world. When Doug was at the wheel you were never quite sure where you would end up life was always and adventure.
Doug was recently baptized and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior a day we are truly grateful we were able to witness such a glorious event.
Doug will be greatly missed by his wife Paula, mother-in-law Mary Branting, his brother Jim his wife Jeannie Barr, his sister Virginia and her husband Loren Deerkop and three nephews, Mike, Chris & Fred and his niece Ginny and the many friends, co-workers and neighbors.

GABER, NEIL
[br][br]Neil was born to Frank and Frances Gaber in Deer Park WA and lived there all of his life. He graduated from DPHS with the class of '59 and married his high school sweetheart in 1962. He and Mikie (Hopkins) were married for 52 years and he was a proud and loving father to their sons Kevin and Brian.
Neil was a long-time Deer Park grocer, working for Yokes for many years and owning the Deer Park Warehouse Market. He owned and operated the Fitness Unlimited Gym as well. His customers and co-workers were very special to him and the reason he enjoyed going to work every day.
Surviving family include his mother Frances Nelms Gaber, grandson Kyle Gaber, daughter-in-law Dana Gaber, brother Robert and wife Avana Gaber, sister Francine and husband Rick Dullanty, and sister-in-law Jackie Strong as well as nieces, nephews and cousins and his uncle Walt Gaber.
We miss his wonderful smile and twinkling eyes but are grateful for the years we had with him and the things he instilled in us: honesty and kindness, love of life and willingness to work hard for a living. No services will be held at his request.

[br][br]"Be the happiest person you know." Joanne put her best face forward every day of her life. She touched everyone with her strength, courage, utmost caring and forever smile. She leaves behind a lasting legacy including her sister Joyce (Pat) of Wallace, Idaho, her six children: Michael (Mary), Gregory (Dianne), Eric (Holly), Lisa (Frank), Laura (Dana) and Amy (Scott). [br][br]Barbara passed away peacefully on August 24, 2014 at the age of 83 at the Hospice House South in Spokane, WA. Born in Cheney, WA on August 28th, 1930 to William H and Selma I Lyons she was one of 15 children; 10 brothers and 4 sisters. Mom grew up in Cheney and Spokane area where she met and married Chester (Chet) K Weedmark Sr. in 1951. They were married for over 50 years until 2003 when he passed. Together they had four boys. Mom was a seamstress for many years and loved to sew, knit and crochet; she was more than willing to teach anyone who wanted to learn. Her other passions were dancing and family gatherings. She is survived by her sons, Chester Ken Jr. (Lynn) of Spokane, Terry Lee of Alaska, James Craig of Tri-Cities and Robert Michael of Moses Lake; a daughter Deborah Rich of Meridian, Idaho; one sister, Jan (Lyons) Griswold, three brothers, James E (Suzi) Lyons of Redmond, Jack (Lexey) Lyons of Spokane Paul M Lyons of New Orleans, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Good Samaritan Village 17121 E. 8th Ave, Spokane Valley, WA on September 11th at 2:30 with inurnment following at Spokane-Cheney Memorial Gardens. DUBE', DANA R.
[br][br]Life ended too soon for Dana on Friday August 22, 2014, at age 65, after a long battle with cancer. He now lives with the sun on his face and the wind at his back forever.
Dana loved working and playing outdoors. Born in Beverly, Massachusetts he moved to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho in 1974 not long after graduating from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. In his youth, Dana excelled at track, football and candlepin bowling. He enjoyed being a carpenter, mostly building custom homes with others in the trade who became treasured friends. Dana often mentioned the happiness he discovered in his adult life was due to the path he travelled with Patty, his wife and true companion of many years. Important highlights of Dana's life were times shared with friends traveling, camping, running, bicycling, skiing, hiking, playing softball and many other activities. Great times and terrific memories happened on the golf course but we hesitate to mention lifetime highlights in regards to Dana's golf game.
Family and friends are too numerous to list here. Come celebrate the life of Dana R. Dube' at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Estate at Elk Point in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Share your laughter and tears over memories and stories of Dana.
