[br][br]Georgia (Davey) Schroeder (Age 80) - passed away peacefully on April 2, 2015. Georgia was born in Spokane to Clarence and Winifred Davey. She graduated from Marycliff High School in 1952. She moved to Fairbanks, Alaska where she met and married Al Schroeder in 1953. They were lifelong residents of Fairbanks until they retired to Spokane in 1996. Georgia worked for Fairbanks Catholic Schools for 33 years as their bookkeeper. She was a friend, mentor, confidante and second mother to many. Traveling to Italy, England, Ireland, China and Egypt with friends and her sister was one of the highlights of her life.
Georgia was preceded in death by Al, her husband of 52 years, daughter Wendi, brother Tommy and her parents. She is survived by, and will be very missed by, her daughters, Patti Ladd, Teresa (Wayne) Clairmont, Becky (John) Hill and Shannon (Jeffrey) Gabriel, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, her brother Gary Davey and her sister, Patricia Dean.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 3327 S. Perry Street, Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be sent to Our Lady of Fatima to enhance their Garden for the Poor or to Horizon Hospice, 123 W. Cascade Way, Spokane, WA 99208.
