
[br][br]Eleanor L. Staton, a longtime resident of Medical Lake, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 19, 2014. She was born on May 4, 1925 in Puyallup to the Rev. A. J. & Jessie E. Herren. Ellie married Charles H. Staton on June 20, 1947, and was a devoted wife and mother. Together they ministered in Assembly of God churches in Yakima, Enumclaw, Medical Lake, and Spokane. While in Medical Lake, they were instrumental in founding Silver Lake Camp in 1958. Ellie also worked in the Personnel Division at Eastern State Hospital, retiring after nearly 30 years of service. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and only child, Charles A. Staton. She is survived by her grandchildren, Judd (Lisa) Staton of Colorado Springs, CO and Alicia (Justin) Wollweber of Edwall; great-grandchildren, Elle & Otto Wollweber and Zoe Staton; daughter-in-law, Mary Staton of Medical Lake; and sister, Bernice (Charlie) Krob Eide of Tacoma. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, at Lake City Assembly of God in Medical Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Silver Lake Camp, PO Box 430, Medical Lake, WA 99022.
