[br][br]Copeland, Robert Lee "Bob" (Age 61) Born April 13, 1952 in Wellington Kansas, and born again on January 16, 2014 when he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He passed away peacefully, Saturday February 22, 2014, with his loving wife Cherie by his side. Bob graduated from Lompoc Senior High School in 1970. He married the love of his life, Cherie Parker, in 1970. They settled in Spokane, where they raised three daughters and eventually he built their beautiful home north of Spokane where they resided for 29 years.
Bob worked for Central Pre-Mix, Garco Construction, and Associated Construction before he founded R.L. Copeland Construction in 2003. Bob was a master craftsman and talented artist. Building custom homes, additions, remodels, historic restorations, as well as painting and woodworking gave him great joy. He passed on many of these talents and interests to his children and grandchildren.
Bob loved spending time with his family watching Gonzaga Basketball, Seahawks Football, and attending his grandchildren's activities. His final days were spent surrounded by his family still enjoying some very special times together. His life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
He is survived by his parents Mary and Vernon Copeland; brother, Jeff Copeland; sister, Kimberly Conrady. He was preceded in death by his brother Scott Copeland in 2008. Loving father of daughter, Shelly Canter; daughter and son-in-law Jolisa and Jason Wenkheimer; daughter and son-in-law Danni and Matt Peterson; Adoring grandfather of Samuel and Gracie Wenkheimer, Zackery Canter, and Jesse Brown.
I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Phillipians 3:14.
A memorial will be held for Bob Copeland on Saturday, March 1st at Turning Point Open Bible Church, 11911 N Division at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Bob's name to Hospice House of Spokane.
