Shirley Dean Margaret Walter Wilhelmi passed away January 6, 2016 at her care facility near her daughter in North Idaho. She was born in Bonners Ferry Idaho April 20, 1928 to Guy and Olive Walter, went to school in Eastport Idaho and graduated from North Central High School in Spokane. She met her husband Virgil H. Wilhelmi while working for Northwest Airlines. They were married in Spokane in 1948. They moved with their 2 children to Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Kennewick, Walla Walla, Bellevue, and finally Tacoma where Shirley was preceded in death by Virgil in 1978. She is survived by her close companion of 34 years Don Christensen of Gig Harbor Washington, her son Guy of Tacoma Washington, her daughter Jan of Hayden Lake Idaho, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her sister Alta of Spokane. No service is being held, she has joined the family at Fairmount Memorial in Spokane.
