Jan went to be with our Lord on December 31, 2015. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born on March 7, 1940 in Southgate, California to Harlan and Adeline Walker. She married Doug in 1959. They raised a family in Spokane and enjoyed hunting, camping, and boating. Jan had "several" loves. She loved her family and was particularly proud of her children and grandchildren. She took great pride in having a beautiful yard full of flowers each spring/summer. Jan also adored her schnauzers. They became her children after the kids left the house. She was also very active in the Open Bible Church for the last 30 years. She was an avid sports fan. Jan and Doug were season ticket holders for the Spokane Chiefs for nearly 20 years. Jan is preceded in death by her mother, father and son Tony. She is survived by her brother Alan, husband Doug, three children; Jim Jarrell (Helen), Shelley Stickelmeyer (Jeff) and Kim Stolz. Grandchildren; James Jarrell (Kathryn), Schelley Kasner (Jason), Anthony Jarrell, Brandon Stickelmeyer, Jordon, Groce (Brad), Tanner Stolz, Abby Jo Stolz, and her great granddaughter Piper Rae Groce. Pastor Monte LeLaCheur will officiate the celebration of Jan's life which will be held at Turning Point Church, 11911 N. Division Street, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1pm.
