Born and raised in Spokane, Joan had a passion and a knack for creating elegant home décor schemes on a dime, her love of the color pink was seamlessly incorporated into every creation. Although her roots were deeply planted in Spokane, she explored much of the country when possible and found the most amazing treasures in the least likely of places. Family and community meant a great deal to her; she made the best fudge for all of her loved ones at Christmas time, loved hosting potlucks, and dedicated years of service to the local Alcoholics Anonymous Central office. She was a member of the Retail Clerks Union and retired from Albertsons - Bakery Department, where she enjoyed getting to know and interact with her customers. Her greatest joys later in life came from spending time with her great-grand children and faithful companion Cinnamon, a Pitbull-Terrier mix.
Her funeral service is to be held at St. Frances of Assisi, on Saturday November 14, 2015 located at 4420 N Jefferson, Spokane WA at 11:00 am.
