[br][br]Patrick left this world on June 2, 2015. Pat was born in Spokane on February 14, 1949 to Glenn and Dorothy Lorang. He was the second oldest in a large and loving family. Pat grew up in Spokane Valley and attended St. John Vianney grade school, graduated from University High School, and attended EWU. While in college, Pat was drafted and served two years with the U.S. Army in Germany. He went on to a career as an electrical lineman, working for Avista and as a union leader with IBEW Local 77.
Pat met his future wife, Barbara, when they were on opposite sides of the union bargaining table at Avista. They figured out that they worked better as a team and were married April 4, 1994. He lovingly took on the role of step-dad to Will and Stephanie.
Pat enjoyed golf and fishing, and spent many happy hours relaxing and entertaining friends and family at his cabin on Lake Pend Oreille. Pat was a humble, loving and generous man. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved to debate politics. Pat always put his family and friends before himself. He will be greatly missed by many people.
Pat leaves behind his wife, Barb, step-children Will and Stephanie Zobrist, his nine brothers and sisters Mike, Dave (Bonnie), John (Desiree), Steve, Mark (Cheryl), Dennis (Susan), Mary (Gary) Dobson, Teresa (Jim) Davison, and Nick, as well as nine nieces and nephews and four little great nieces. A celebration of Pat's life will be held later this summer.
